Questions
- How are words counted?
- The counter uses Unicode word segmentation, so it treats CJK characters, accented Latin words, and numbers as words instead of splitting on spaces alone.
- How is reading time estimated?
- Latin-script words are estimated at about 200 words per minute. Han, hiragana, and katakana characters use about 400 characters per minute. Mixed text combines both.
